Web 2.0 goes on
Added by The Editor, about 1 year ago.
From our point of view, Web 2.0 isn't just for consumer sites like YouTube and Facebook - it's a major force for business change that will transform the way that companies interact with their customers.
In fact, that's already happening. In a recent survey conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit, Serious business: Web 2.0 goes corporate, nearly 60 per cent of large companies questioned said that they are already inviting customers to contribute content via web sites that explains, supports, promotes or enhances products, or that they plan to do so within the next two years.
Good for them, we say - because Web 2.0 isn't just a snazzy new corporate marketing tool. It's also represents a huge opportunity for customers to take control, to tell suppliers what they need, and to exert greater influence over the products, services and information they're offered.
So to all our members, we'd like to say: keep telling us what you need, so we can continue to shape The IT Sanctuary around your specific needs and interests.
